ADMINISTRATIVE AND JUDICIAL REVIEW

Judicial review provides, among others, a number of legal controls of the acts or decisions (involving decision-making process) of individuals and bodies performing public functions. The most notable cases we have dealt with are two young offenders, who were convicted of murder and be detained in Her Majesty’s pleasure before 1997, and at the Executive’s discretion after 1997.

Advising and taking appropriate actions in commercial cases arising out of the ordinary transactions of merchants and traders, and those relating to the construction of exemption clauses and other mercantile documents

COMPANY

Dealing with all matters in relation to company limited by shares or by guarantee, involving its setting up and the way to protect minority shareholders, and buying and selling of company shares.

COMPANY SECRETARY

Preparing company documentation for the purpose of incorporating a limited company in Hong Kong, and

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

Handling court cases involving constructing and interpreting of constitutional documentation, especially the Basic Law, after the return of Hong Kong to Chinese rule in 1997.

CONVEYANCING

Preparing legal instruments to effect the transfer or assign of the ownership of landed property, and undertaking the sale and purchase, mortgage, release and refinance of it.

CRIMINAL LITIGATION

Handling cases involving an act that is deemed by statute or by the common law to be a public wrong and is therefore punishable by the HKSAR in criminal proceedings.

LAND LAW

As opposed to conveyancing, land law is mainly concerned with the relationship of people to land. We have experience in dealing with cases in relation to mortgages, adverse possession or licences, etc..

LANDLORD AND TENANT

Acting for the landlord and the tenant in the matter of tenancy agreement or lease in domestic, commercial or industrial premises.

MEDIATION

To act as mediator to resolve any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising out of or in relation to the breach of a contract or otherwise.

Drafting and preparing security documentation, for instance, debentures, charges or guarantees.

SUCCESSION

Succession is the law and procedures under which a personal representative of the deceased person, who died testate or intestate, is required to go through before obtaining the grant of Probate or Letters of Administration to the estate of the deceased issued by the High Court of HKSAR.

TAX

Handling tax cases including reviewing the tax decision of the Inland Revenue Department and other competent authorities, considering the merits of opposition by tax payer and handling appeal matters.
